I Love Lesvos

8/4/2015

Comments

In 1989 I visited Levos for the first time. It was a holiday and I remember the ride from the airport to the apartment. I was impressed by all the olive trees and the changing of the landscapes. Molivos, a beautiful village, I stayed right under the castle on top of the hill. Greece was having drachmas in those days everything was cheap and very authentic. Lesvos is still very authentic the residents are very friendly and nature is untouched. I fell in love with this island and  visited it many times. For holiday of course but also to work. I made stories for magazines about the Flora of Lesvos, Easter on Lesvos, the Woman’s festival and also gave a photo workshop in 2008.

About Lesvos Photo and Photography blog

Anjo visited Lesvos for the first time in 1989 . After that almost every year. The main income of this Island are olives and tourism.
Anjo started this blog in 2015  to share the beauty of this magical place.
At this moment more than 2500 refugees a day reach the Island. Those people need help. The Greek residents are very hospitable and help as much as they can.
From 5-26 october  2015 Anjo will travel to Lesvos. She will post daily  photos and stories about the situation on this blog.
