Melothria scabra or ‘Mouse Melon’ is a tiny cucumber and it looks like a cute watermelon. The fruits are small enough to fit into a teaspoon, yet bite into one and the flavor is unique, pure cucumber with a refreshing tinge of lime. The plant will climb or hang. So place a fence or hang a big pot high. Sow under protection in pots late February to April. Harvest them when they are the size of a grape, but still nice and firm.
Find some nice zucchini in your garden and remove the seeds in the middle. Cut the zucchini in pieces and fry some onion and garlic in a deep pan. Add bother, olive oil and broth and some water, not too much water! It gives a better taste if the zucchini is boiled in its own juice. Add all kind of fresh herbs from the garden. Mint is great with this soup as well as Thyme. Enjoy!

'French fries with chicken' Bossy said . This dish is what people eat in Egypt for example, on a birthday. This recipe is very tasty and easy to make. It's definitely different than the fries fries with chicken, as we know it in the Netherlands. Rice, noodles and potato mixed is not how the Dutch eat it but it is quite tasty! Of course you can also make this dish vegetarian without chicken, or change it to tofu.

So try it out yourself, use your intuition en find the balance between, sweet, salt and sour. This red curry is a fresh taste sensation!
Rotti is a flat pancake, made from oil, flour and water. And there are patatoes, green beens and chicken. The taste is great because of the Surinamese spices. You pick a piece of rotti by hand and then grab some of the other food. This is how they eat rotti in Suriname. Yvonne her Surinamese rotti is the best, enjoy!
