 Japanese knotweed ( Polygonum cuspidatum ) is an invasive plant mostly along the waterfront. Wan likes this plant a lot because the young leaves are very tasty. The taste is a bit sour like rhubarb and it is from the same family. It is hard to describe the exact ingredients because Wan follows her intuition and there is a lot of tasting while she is cooking. So try it out yourself, use your intuition en find the balance between, sweet, salt and sour. This red curry is a fresh taste sensation!

 Rotti is a flat pancake, made from oil, flour and water. And there are patatoes, green beens and chicken. The taste is great because of the Surinamese spices. You pick a piece of rotti by hand and then grab some of the other food. This is how they eat rotti in Suriname. Yvonne her Surinamese rotti is the best, enjoy! Delicious!

  Brazilian Frittata is a handy recipe. You can always cut some fresh seasonal vegetables and herbs from your garden and make a healthy and delicious frittata.
 Tom Yam soup is a delicious and most famous soup from Thailand. A lot of ingredients can be found in your garden. Nan and Oi made this soup in 'The World Garden' . We picked fresh coriander and tomatoes from 'The World Garden'. Oi and Nan made this soup, enjoy!  |
