Sambucus is a fast growing shrub or tree most seen in Europe. The elder Sambucus nigra is most common. But is this really such a ordinary Elder ? Black berry and white flower heads are used for making wine , gin, jam, jelly, syrup and dye .

Calendula officinalis is a wholesome flower. Very good for the skin, to heel infections and wounds. Instead of Vaseline you can also use beeswax this makes it even more healthy.
